Enrollment - 3-Years To Kindergarten

Each spring, Union conducts an early enrollment program for 3-year-old, pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students.

Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten are full-day programs. Hours are posted on school web pages. Extended day or before/after care is also provided for pre-kindergarten students. Transportation is not provided.

The student must be a resident of Union Public Schools and living with a parent or legal guardian to enroll. For enrollment requirements, see Enrollment

Pre-Kindergarten

Children who are four years old on or before September 1 are eligible to be enrolled in the pre-kindergarten program at their home school for the coming year. The students must reside with a parent or legal guardian in the Union District. Pre-kindergarten is first-come, first-serve on a space-available basis. Pre-kindergarten enrollment has to be completed, time stamped and approved by a district registrar in the Enrollment Center. See also Rosa Parks Early Childhood Education Center.

Kindergarten

Children who are five years old on or before September 1 are eligible for kindergarten for the coming year. If you already have a student currently attending pre-kindergarten at Union Public Schools, the student will promote to Kindergarten at their home school based on your home address if they complete the school year.

Note concerning immunizations

Kindergarten shots may be given any time after your child turns four years old. Tulsa City-County Health Department offers these immunizations and often hosts several clinics. Call 918-582-9355 for information. According to Oklahoma School Law, any child not immunized and without proper certificate or statement may be denied admittance to school.

Visit Union's Health Services section for more information.

3-Year-Old Students

Union offers a free developmentally appropriate education program for children who turn three by September 1. The 3-year-old program is based at the Rosa Parks Early Childhood Education Center, 13804 E. 46 Place S.
