EDP Summer Camp

"Discover Oklahoma With U!'

Union's summer camp for Union students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade will be June 3 through August 2 at Jarman Elementary,  9015 E. 79th St., Monday through Friday, from 6:45 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Cost

Payments due weekly for 9 weeks.

  • Pre-kindergarten: $155 + $30 Registration Fee (non-refundable) for each week selected 
  • Kindergarten – 5th Grade: $145 + $30 Registration Fee (non-refundable) for each week selected

Week of July 1-3 Cost

  • Pre-K $100 +$30 Registration Fee
  • K – 5 $90 + $30 Registration Fee

Limited Capacity

  • 150 students 
  • Pre-kindergarten limited to 20 students

Enrollment

Visit the EDP Enrollment Portal to complete enrollment online. 

Online enrollment, camp deposit and non-refundable registration fees are due by 5 p.m. May 9. Do not delay. Only credit cards will be accepted.  

Once Union's licensed capacity is reached, enrollment will be closed and a waiting list established.  Online payments are the only way to secure a spot for your child.

For later weeks of camp, payments will also be made through Union EZChild Track on the Tuesday before the week of camp. Payments cannot be accepted at camp. No refunds or credits are given on weekly fees after deadline dates.

Note

  • Paid registration fees reserve a place for your child, but space is not guaranteed until payment is received the week prior to that camp.
  • If fees are not paid by the prior week for a subsequent camp week, your space will be given to someone on the waiting list. If space is available that week after the deadline and you still wish to attend, a $10 late payment fee will be added to your account. 
  • Registration fees are non-refundable.  No refunds or credits are given on weekly fees after deadline dates.

What To Bring

  • Kindergarten through fifth grade students will swim twice a week.  Life jackets are required for swimmers who cannot swim.  Swim tests will be given and if your child does not pass the test, they will be required to wear a life jacket.
  • Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack provided. 
  • Remember to dress for the weather. Children will be outside every day.
  • Parents of pre-kindergarten students should bring a blanket and a change of clothing in case of an accident.

Meals

  • Daily breakfast: 7:30 to 8:15 a.m.  
  • Daily Lunch: 10:45 to 11:15 a.m.
  • Afternoon snacks are also provided.

 

Schedule of Activities

Activities are centered around the weekly “Discover Oklahoma with U” themes.  Students will participate in rotations including art, science, music and movement, library, gym games, outdoor play and center time in their classrooms.

Weekly field trips will be held.  Time and Dates for some field trips to be announced.

Students in grades kindergarten through fifth will swim at least once a week, on Tuesdays at Burning Tree Pool and on Thursdays at the Union 6th/7th Grade Center swimming pool. 

All pre-kindergarten activities will be at camp. Pre-kindergarten will have "water days" on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Pre-kindergarten will also enjoy a Tippi Toes dance studio and a weekly librarian visit. 

Week 1 - June 3-7

Discover Oklahoma Parks & Recreation. Campers will learn about Oklahoma state parks and visit Bentley Park. 
Payment due May 9.

Week 2 - June 10-14

Discover Oklahoma sports. Campers will learn about different professional Oklahoma sports teams and see a Tulsa Drillers game. 
Payment due June 4.

Week 3 - June 17-21

Discover Oklahoma sports. Campers will learn about all things grown in Oklahoma. On Thursday, June 20, we will pick blueberries at Thunderbird Blueberry Farm.
Payment due June 11.

Week 4 - June 24-28

Discover Oklahoma sports. Campers will learn of the many different adventures Oklahoma has to offer. We’ll end the week with our own adventure to River Country Water Park in Muskogee.
Payment due June 18.

Week 5 - July 1-5

Discover Oklahoma heartland. Campers will enjoy a playground picnic, eat hot dogs and Kona Ice snow cones.
Payment due June 25.

Week 6 - July 8-12

Discover Oklahoma Heritage.  Campers will explore Oklahoma heritage and history. Gilcrease Museum will make an educational presentation about Oklahoma.
Payment due July 2.

Week 7 - July 15-19

Discover Oklahoma STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math.) Campers will research and learn how Oklahoma uses its state resources for everyday life. We will visit Discovery Lab to see how STEAM is applied.
Payment due July 9.

Week 8 - July 22-26

Discover the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Campers will learn about influential and famous Oklahomans.  We’ll end the week jumping around at BounceU.
Payment due July 16.

Week 9 - July 29-August 2

Discover Oklahoma Olympians & Athletes. Campers will learn about Oklahoma's Olympians and athletes. We’ll end the week showing off our athletic moves at Wheels and Thrills.
