The purpose of the Union PTA is the same as that of all PTAs:
In order to accomplish these goals, it requires the teamwork of parents, teachers and administrators within the school system.
The Union PTA comprises a PTA Council and PTA chapters at each school site, including a PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association) at Union High School at the Union Alternative School.
The PTA Council oversees district wide programs that benefit all of the students through several programs including Klothes Kloset, Catch the Dream, Meet the Masters, Reflections and Kids on the Block. The representatives from each site help ensure these programs are a success.

Simply show a current PTA membership card at one of our Community Sponsor locations and receive a reduced rate or in some cases, free items. These specials are featured on the PTA Community Partners page. Each Union school site has a PTA unit that provides programs and teacher support at their school. The Union Council PTA sponsors the Union chess tournament, scholarships for graduating seniors, bus driver appreciation, Catch the Dream, supports Graduation Celebration and actively communicates with state legislators in regards to legislation that affects public schools.
Catch The Dream
Catch the Dream is a PTA Council-sponsored recognition program to honor outstanding staff members. Students at each school nominate staff members who have gone above and beyond their normal duties to be entered into a monthly drawing. The winners at each site are in turn entered into a monthly district drawing to be recognized by the entire district.
Welcome Message from the PTA President
Dear Union families,
I am Jean Jones. I am mother of six children, wife of a police officer and your new PTA Council President. I have been a part of the Union Parent-Teacher Association since 2008, serving on the PTA Council level since 2010.
I am truly grateful you elected me your Council president this year. We hit the ground running this school, working with community partners to design new tee shirts. We have started new programs such as multicultural nights and a community teacher alliance.
Our goal this year for PTA Council is to bring our units back together as one, bring more parents back so they may get involved in all of the exciting things Union and PTA has to offer. We look forward to seeing you, and I look forward to being your president of the school year. Have a great year! Together, We Make a Difference!
