Digital Flyer Distribution Powered by Peachjar

We are excited to share information about our partnership with Peachjar to help us unite schools, parents, and communities in our collective mission to elevate student outcomes! Peachjar’s platform streamlines school-to-home communication by distributing valuable school and community resources directly to families as digital flyers. By enabling our district to go paperless, Peachjar helps us save thousands of trees each year.

Peachjar for Families

Peachjar organizes all important school and community information in one place! In addition to receiving emails from your school, look for the ‘Peachjar’ button or icon on your school website to view all active flyers.

Peachjar for Community Organizations

Our district wants families to know about district-approved community programs and resources offered by organizations like yours! Peachjar charges a fee for this service, which is typically much less than the cost to copy and deliver paper flyers. There are many additional benefits to using Peachjar—clickable buttons that take parents directly to your website, flyer performance reports, and not to mention the time saved driving school to school!

To submit your flyer for district approval, review our Flyer Approval Guidelines <District: Insert link to guidelines here> and follow the steps below. Paper flyers from outside organizations will no longer be distributed.

  1. Register your account as a Community Organization on Peachjar.com
  2. Review Peachjar’s Guide for Community Organizations for information about discount pricing, flyer creation tips, and more
  3. Go to ‘Post & Notify’ in your account to submit a flyer

After you hit submit, your flyer will be automatically submitted to the district for approval. Once approved, your flyer will be emailed to parents and posted on each school’s web flyerboard for your selected duration of time. For more information on the process or pricing, please email [email protected] or call 858-997-2117.

How it works

Union Public Schools is offering an electronic flyer communication tool called “Peachjar.” To view school-approved Digital flyers, simply click the Peachjar button on your school’s website homepage.

This “green” initiative will save our schools tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. On top of that, posting school flyers in this electronic backpack removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff and volunteers.

No action is required on your part. You will receive a welcome email from our service provider (Peachjar) that includes a username and password. This is provided to give you the opportunity to manage your account and flyer delivery preferences. You do not need to log in to receive or view school digital flyers.

To ensure smooth delivery of this communication, we suggest you add [email protected] to your email contacts. When you receive your first eflyer, be sure to click “always display images.”

Be sure to mark "Peachjar" as a "safe sender" in your email system so flyers are not sent to junk or clutter folders. GMail may also send these notices into your promotions or social media subfolders.

This system is used exclusively for distribution of school-approved flyers. Your email address will not be shared with third-party vendors or used for any other purpose. Thank you for supporting our efforts to ensure parents are well informed about school programs, activities, and events.

Distribution of Printed Materials (Flyers)

Union students are not to be considered a captive audience for the promotion of business, recreation or other educational entities. The intent of this policy is to prohibit the exploitation of students in order to promote non-school-sponsored athletic clubs or any business or private enterprise. (Note: Union is moving to digital distribution via Peachjar.)

The distribution of all literature, posters/signs, announcements, and advertisements by outside agencies and/or individuals must be approved by the Chief Communications Officer. The building principal will then have the discretion of deciding if, when and how the information will be distributed. A stamp will be placed on a copy of the material to be distributed, and building principals shall only distribute items which have been approved. No literature will be distributed that contains primarily religious, objectionable, or political overtones which may be beneficial to any particular group or business at the expense of others.

If the official stamp of the Chief Communications Officer is not visible on the literature to be distributed, the principal should refer the individual to the Chief Communications Officer for necessary authorization.

The Chief Communications Officer will not approve any attempts by outside agencies, profit or non-profit, to solicit students of the district through the use of advertising or fund-raising campaigns. However, it should be understood that some advertising and sales, when in connection with school-related activities, can be beneficial to the district and its students. Therefore, advertising and book sales may be permitted in the district if they are directly related to approved school clubs or activities that benefit district students. Such activities may include, but are not limited to, school newspapers, yearbooks, athletic clubs and cheerleading clubs. School-sponsored fund-raising flyers/promotion materials shall be considered permissible and shall only require the approval of the principal. Trips and excursions sponsored by employees may be advertised to the student body by flyers or posters approved by the Chief Communications Officer. No district funds may be expended to advertise such trips. Notification that the school does not sponsor such events must appear prominently on all flyers and posters and must be clarified to all students and parents.

Any individual, who calls on the principal or other school employees for the purpose of selling or advertising, including a proposal to photograph students, must have prior approval from the Chief Communications Officer.

Note about Community Free flyer distributions

Peachjar will begin limiting Community Free (Free-for-Free) flyer distribution to one posting every 30 days for up to 25 schools per organization.  Exceptions are available for school groups such as Booster Clubs, Education Foundations and others on a case-by-case basis.  Please note, your local community organizations can continue to promote all of their free programs within any 30-day time period by using multi-page flyers.

Peachjar's Community Free (Free-for-Free) program was created to allow local community organizations that are offering free programs with no encouragement for future fees or paid services, to distribute their digital flyers to their surrounding schools at no cost.
