Union Public Schools Fine Arts Department presents the all-school musical of “Shrek – The Musical” February 5-7 at 7 p.m. at the Union Performing Arts Center, 6636 S. Mingo Road. Tickets on sale now.
This morning, High School students enjoyed a teaser of the musical. A Newson6 news crew also came before the teaser to interview director Erika McGhee and several of the cast members.

“Shrek the Musical” follows the story of a grumpy ogre, Shrek, who loves his solitary swamp life until it's invaded by other fairy tale creatures, leading him to strike a deal with the diminutive Lord Farquaad to rescue Princess Fiona in exchange for his swamp back. Along the way, he meets his new sidekick, Donkey, as he begins to develop feelings for the princess, who has a secret of her own.
