Union To Name District Teacher Of The Year Friday, Jan. 17

Union Public Schools will recognized the 2024-2025 School Site Teachers of the Year at 9 a.m. Friday, January 17 at the Union Performing Arts Center when the district will also announce the District Teacher of the Year.
Being named Teacher of the Year is one of the highest honors a teacher can receive at Union.
The doors will open at 8 a.m. and the celebration will begin promptly at 9 a.m.
Site-based professional development for teachers and certified staff will begin at 12:30 p.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. (School is closed on Friday, January 17.)
The Site Teachers of the Year are:
- Andersen Elementary – Cory Allen, fifth grade
- Boevers Elementary – Hannah Atkins, physical education
- Cedar Ridge Elementary – Rebecca Hines, media specialist
- Roy Clark Elementary – Alexandra Arias, SPED
- Darnaby Elementary – Halley Garry, third grade
- Grove Elementary – Yolanda Moore, first grade
- Jarman Elementary – Rachel Rhees, fourth grade
- Jefferson Elementary – Patricia Goads, second grade
- McAuliffe Elementary - Carissa Ketchum-Gray, reading specialist
- Moore Elementary – Laura Zenthoefer, music
- Ellen Ochoa Elementary – Kelly Larby, fifth grade
- Rosa Parks Elementary – Andrea Orr, reading specialist
- Peters Elementary – Wendi Rutz, third grade
