Updated

Union Alternative School Principal Chris Ducker will be conducting a forum for students in grades 9-12 who have applied or who wish to apply to the Alternative School at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23.

If you know of any students who appear to be appropriate candidates for alternative education, please encourage them to send in an application and attend this meeting. Student’s attendance at the forum is mandatory in order to sign up for an interview. If possible, parents should accompany the students to this forum.

Applications are available on-line at https://forms.office.com/r/Wbnyhcyjqn

Printed applications may be picked up in person at the Alternative School.

At this forum, which will last for about 45 minutes, Ducker will provide a great deal of general info about Alt Ed. At the end of the presentation, students and parents who are still interested in the program will be scheduled for a subsequent private interview to discuss their individual circumstances and to determine their level of need for the program.

Anyone who wants to be considered for entering the Alternative School needs to attend this forum. Since we work in four-week blocks instead of semesters, we bring new students into the Alternative School monthly throughout the school year. Therefore, it’s appropriate to refer a student here at any time of the year, and forums are conducted several times throughout the school year and the summer.

Your referrals are very important to us, and we appreciate your help with this process. Counselors or Administrators who are new to the district or who are not familiar with our Alternative School are welcome to attend this forum, or they may call me at 918-357-7080 to discuss the Alternative School.

Thanks very much for your continued support.
