Union staff: After a great deal of careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to end our Adult Basic Education Program as of June 30, 2026. This decision was not made lightly, nor was it made without a great deal of disappointment.

It's “Spring Forward” time! Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 2:00 A.M. On Saturday evening, our clocks need to “spring forward” one hour.
Early enrollment season for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and 3-year-old students for Union Public Schools has begun. New dates have been announced.

Congratulations to the Finance Division at Union Public Schools, which has once again earned a Meritorious Budget Award (MBA), for excellence in the preparation and issuance of its budget for fiscal year 2025-2026.

The Union Board of Education on first reading considered a proposed calendar for the 2026-2027 school year. The Board will consider approval during the second reading at the next Board meeting on March 9.

The High School PTSA was recognized as being in the top 10 for membership in the state by the Oklahoma PTA with 434 members.

Union's summer break camp for Union students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade will be June 1-July 31 at Grove Elementary, 10202 E. 62nd St., from 6:45 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Congratulations to the Union Girls Wrestling Team, who have just been named state champions. Three individual wrestlers, Corey Harris, McKenna Wilson, Kelice Luker, have also been named state champions.

The Rosa Parks Early Childhood Education Center hosted the monthly meeting of the state Early Childhood Consortium and gave visitors of the tour where they viewed 3-year-old students having fun in a mud kitchen and a light station.
