A brief summary of the February 9 Board of Education meeting has been posted which includes information on the proposed school calendar for 2026-2027.

The Union Board of Education on first reading considered a proposed calendar for the 2026-2027 school year. The Board will consider approval during the second reading at the next Board meeting on March 9.

Union Public Schools has been recognized by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education as Runner-Up in Oklahoma’s Promise 2026 State 6A Champion.

The snow has melted, and we are gearing back up for the new date of the Redhawks Robotics Rumble on February 21.

Early enrollment season for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and 3-year-old students for Union Public Schools has begun. New dates have been announced.

Union's spring break camp for Union students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade will be March 16-19 (four days only) at Jefferson Elementary, 8418 S. 107th E. Ave., from 6:45 a.m. until 6 p.m. This year's theme is "Color, Create & Celebrate With U." Enroll now!

Some classrooms have moved into the new trailers complex in front of the Union 6th & 7th Grade Centers, which are getting a major renovation to allow for more room and services at the school.

Union Public Schools Fine Arts Department presents the all-school musical of “Shrek – The Musical” February 5-7 at 7 p.m. at the Union Performing Arts Center, 6636 S. Mingo Road. Tickets on sale now.
