8th Graders: Apply for Early College High School
Did you know that you can get college credit while attending Union High School? You can even receive your associates degree at the same time that you graduate with your high school diploma, all for free! Union Public Schools, in partnership with Tulsa Community College, invite current Union eighth graders to apply for EDGE, formerly called Early College High School Program.
Early College High School Program Expanding; Program Rebranded as EDGE
An early college pilot program that enables high school students from underserved populations to earn an associate’s degree at no cost is continuing to expand. The EDGE (Earn a Degree Graduate Early) pilot program, which is changing its name from Early College High School, allows students to earn two years of college credit while still in high school. The TCC pilot program started in 2018 in partnership with Union Public Schools. Union is preparing this May for its original 27 participants in the program to graduate. They will be followed in 2022 by another 34 and in 2023, 48 more.
