Support Employee Peer Recognition

Union Public Schools appreciates each and every one of its employees, and sponsors  programs that recognize employee excellence from bus drivers to secretaries to Child Nutrition cooks to paraprofessionals.

The mission of the Support Employee Peer Recognition Committee is to provide the process and promote awareness of the benefits of teamwork by recognizing and awarding employees. We look for outstanding team members whose performance, actions, and attitudes are exceptional and strengthen the students and staff of Union Public Schools.

How It Works

Each month, two employees will be named Employees of the Month, and each year, the district will recognize an Employee of the Year through a committee of peers representing all the support employees across the district.

Honorees are chosen by a committee based on nominations submitted by colleagues or administrators from around the district. Nomination forms are available here:, using the link at the top of this page.

Selection is based on:

  • Work Ethic
  • Personal Characteristics
  • Team Spirit
  • Leadership Initiative

Nomination forms should be submitted by the third Friday of each month.

How to Nominate

For those of you who have submitted nominations, thank you for the well-deserved recognition of your colleagues! As always, the committee would, however, like to remind you that we need more nominations. Please take the time to nominate those hard-working, dedicated support employees who deserve to be recognized.

Please be sure to complete the nomination with details and explanations so we can judge each nomination fairly.  All nominations submitted are considered throughout the school year.
 
Please submit all nominations via the Microsoft Form or send by inter office mail to ESC-SEPRC.

*Please note: The support employee must be employed at Union Public Schools for at least 1 year to be nominated.*
