Oklahoma SB783/Education Open Transfer Act
Due to the recent passage of SB783 regarding Open Transfers, we are getting many questions from parents outside the district about transferring their students to Union Public Schools. The new law does not go into effect until Jan. 1, 2022. There are many requirements mandated by the law, which requires the State Department of Education to write new rules and for local school boards to create new board policies, so we are unable to respond to these requests at this time. Please check www.unionps.org for news and updates.
Beginning July 13, the Enrollment Center will be open to the public for New Enrollments and Address Changes.
Unsure if you live in Union District or what school your child will attend? Check here! If you are you new to Union Public Schools or have a student that needs to enroll you can register online.
Enrollment Hours and Procedures
1. The Enrollment Center will be following Social Distancing CDC Guidelines with a maximum of five (5) patrons in the building.
2. Only one guardian to conduct business per family. Children and guests will not be permitted.
3. We ask that you check in and wait in your car until called by phone.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping everyone safe.

Extended Day Program
Union offers programming for elementary students before and after school as part of our Extended Day Program. Union's EDP was created to provide safe, alternative educational child care, enhancing the child’s extended day for students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through seventh grade. Recognizing the busy lifestyles of today’s family, the district attempts to work in partnership with home and parents by providing before and after school supervision at the school site. Enroll at the Education Service Center, 8506 E. 61st Street.
High school parking permits are $25, and students must provide their car license tag number and driver's license number to purchase a permit. Activity cards are $25, which includes admission to Union home athletic events and fine arts performances. Activity cards are for athletic home events – not playoff games or state games, and fine arts concerts but not all school musicals or drama performances.
All sixth, seventh and eighth grade students are asked to purchase the Student Planner, which includes the student/parent handbook. The planners are $5.00.
