Athletics Tryouts

Please check our website periodically for information regarding sports tryout dates. Many sports will conduct tryouts during the month of May for the following school year. Tryout dates will be posted as soon as they are received from our coaches.

If you have any questions regarding any of our sports programs, please feel free to email the coach (email addresses listed below) or call the Athletic Department at 918-357-7410.

View the Athletics Information Sheet to see school-sponsored sports, competition season and the grades of participation. Unless noted otherwise, the sports will meet as a class during the school day, in addition to before school and/or after school practices.

Communicating with Coaches

Please note that Union Public Schools follows OSSAA policies governing communication between coaches and families. We request that only parents or guardians whose children are currently enrolled in Union Public Schools reach out to coaches directly.

If your student is not currently enrolled in Union Public Schools district, but the student plans to move or transfer here for the coming school year, on and wish to learn more about our athletic programs, please contact the Union Athletic Department for assistance. Thank you!

Sports Physicals

In order to tryout or participate in any athletic activity, including tryouts, for the 2025-2026 school year, student-athletes must provide the coach with a copy of a current sports physical. Please do not give the original physical form to the coach; keep the original for your records and turn in a copy. Only physicals dated on/after May 1, 2025 will be valid for the 2025-2026 school year.

If your tryout takes place before May 1, 2025, you are still required to provide a copy of a current sports physical before you may participate in any physical activity.                                                                                            

On Monday, May 5, the Union Athletic Training Center will host its annual Pre-Participation Physical Night. Exams will be conducted by physicians of Advanced Orthopedics of Oklahoma. The cost is $20, no insurance is needed.
