4101 Policies Applicable to Employees
For purposes of general administration of employment, in addition to all Board of Education policies and where Board policy does not specify otherwise, for support associate employees who fall outside the USPA bargaining unit, the district will apply certain policies contained in the USPA Master Contract when applicable and deemed appropriate. For certified employees who fall outside the UCTA bargaining unit or who hold unique certified positions that necessitate application of additional policies, the district will apply certain policies contained in the UCTA Master Contract and/or Board Policy regarding other employee groups and/or the schedule maintained in the Human Resources Department as applicable and deemed appropriate. For provisional employees who fall outside of either bargaining unit, the district may apply certain policies of either the UCTA contract (for certified provisional positions or, in certain cases, substitute positions) or USPA contract (for support provisional positions) when applicable and deemed appropriate.
Nothing under this policy shall be construed to bring support associate or provisional employees into the USPA or UCTA bargaining units for negotiation purposes or other purposes not stated herein, and applicability of policies shall be determined by Board of Education policy and as administered by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
