4097 Workplace Safety
The task of creating, promoting, and maintaining a standard of safety which provides a safe working environment is the responsibility of all employees. The management of the district is committed to providing educational training as required by law and physical elements necessary to reduce hazards in the workplace and equip employees with information on how to perform their jobs safely. It is the responsibility of the employee to choose to work safely by following all standards of safety as stated in district operational procedures and the safety program, and by actively participating in safety meetings and functions.
The district shall distribute an Emergency Procedures Manual to all employees and provide training as required by State and/or Federal law. Manuals should be available in all offices, classrooms, buses and work areas.
