4085 Military Leave

Employees who are members, either officers or enlisted personnel, of the Reserve Forces of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force, or any other component of the Armed Forces of the United States, including members of the Air or Army National Guard, shall, when ordered by the proper authority to active duty or service, be entitled to a leave of absence for the period of such active service without loss of status, efficiency rating, or loss of pay during the first 30 work days of such leave of absence.

If given an opportunity to choose, employees are strongly encouraged to select service dates which do not interfere with the instructional calendar.
