Union's Fine Arts Department proudly presents YouthArts!, an annual fine arts festival showcasing the creative works and talents of elementary and secondary students.
YouthArts! is one of the longest running festivals of its type in the state of Oklahoma. In fact, it is celebrating its 44th anniversary in the spring of 2023.
YouthArts! was founded by Ed Tackett, now retired director of Fine Arts, and has grown immensely over the years.
Under the direction of the district's 50-plus fine arts teachers, the multi-day event is scheduled in April and May and includes a variety of performances and exhibitions all open to the public. Those include:
Union Fine Arts Presents 44th Annual YouthArts! Festival
Union Public Schools Fine Arts is proud to present the 44th annual YouthArts Festival this spring – one of the longest running festivals of its type in the state of Oklahoma.
“Union Fine Arts is excited to showcase the creative works and talents of our elementary and secondary students,” Fine Arts director Matthew McCready said.
Among the fine arts offerings you can enjoy are three performances from Union Drama in April, a number of musical concerts over the next two months and the visual YouthArts! exhibition in the UMAC which runs April 18-23.
