More than 90 percent of the district's administrators hold a master's degree or higher. Of the teaching and administrative staff, more than 40 percent hold graduate-level degrees – with more than 400 holding master’s degrees and 19 with doctorates. Learn more about our teachers.
District News
OTRS (Oklahoma Teachers’ Retirement System) will be hosting an in-person informational session at Union for employees who are within five years of retirement (or anyone interested in attending for planning purposes).
Save the date for the Home, Health and Safety Fair on Thursday, March 27 at the UMAC, sponsored by the Union PTA Council and the Tulsa Oilers. The event, which is free and open to the public, runs from 10 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.
The last day of school for Union Public Schools will be Friday, May 23.
The Union Board of Education approved the change along with other schedule changes – including using three built-in snow days and adding 16 additional minutes to the school day beginning March 24 – in order to make up lost instruction due to the six days students missed school due to inclement winter weather.
For the 33rd year in a row, the Finance Division for Union Public Schools has received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) for its comprehensive annual financial report for 2023-2024.
Theatre of Professionals presents "The Odd Couple" at 7 p.m. May 1-3 at the Union High School Freshman Academy Studio. Tickets are $5 at the door.

Union Repertory Theatre presents "Our Town" at 7 p.m. April 3-5, and at 1 p.m. April 4 in the High School Studio Theatre.
The Union PTA Council invites families to movie night at 7 p.m. Friday, March 28 at Union Tuttle Stadium at the High School, 6636 S. Mingo Road.
Union Career Connect is seeking businesses with hiring needs to participate in an employment fair at the UMAC (Union Multipurpose Activity Center), 6836 S. Mingo Road, on Friday, April 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Union High School Indoor Drumline’s 2025 competitive season is off to a great start, including a first place finish at the WGPO Circuit event at Broken Arrow High School in February, as well as being crowned class champion of the recent WGI Hot Springs Regional event in Arkansas.
