Union Alternative Block 8 Graduation!

Congratulations to the Block 8 graduates who were recognized this morning at the Union Alternative School – the last day of school for the 2020-2021.

With some 20 students being honored in person, Principal Chris Ducker read personal statements from each student and read a certificate of achievement proclaimed by State Rep. Ross Ford in honor of each of the students. Several gave very personal testimonials about the staff and environment at Alt Ed. and how the school has changed their lives.

Toward the end of the ceremony, Ducker also announced the winners of the annual Alt Ed. Olympics, declaring the class of Jeff Kennedy to be the winner. It was the first time his class had won.

After hugs and pictures, families and those gathered were invited to join students and staff in the annual year-end lunch and social.
