Happy Coordinators Appreciation Week to Community Schools Coordinator Mindi Bisdee at Boevers Elementary.

Bisdee just started her 10th year as a coordinator at Boevers Elementary.

“What makes me post proud is a few years ago, one of our afterschool programs partnered with the Fab Lab and built a lending library and a “food blessing box” for our school neighborhood. Each year we have one of our afterschool clubs responsible for refilling them each week,’ she said. “I love that our students were inspired to serve our community in a tangible way. I think modeling for our students that there is value in being a good neighbor and citizen is a vital part of a community school.”
