Friday at Marshall T. Moore Elementary ended with a celebration and a cherry on top! Lots of cherries!
Celebrating students who raised money for the school's PTA jog-a-thon, students enjoyed the opportunity to turn Principal Becky King into a human sundae.
It started with a few blocks of ice cream that fifth grade Eric Morena plopped on her head and continued with chocolate syrup, sprinkles, gummies and more.
Mrs. King looked so tasty, even she could not resist taking a few sweet nibbles here and there.
Speaking of Eric Moreno, he was recognized as the top student fundraiser, bringing in $854 for the school's jog-a-thon. He is the son of Efrain and Angelica Moreno.
Moore also honored other fundraisers in the school, many who earned special prizes, as well as the top-three runners for boys and girls in each grade level.
Congratulations!
