Conchita Carreno Named Support Employee of the Year

Congratulations to Human Resources specialist Conchita Carreno who has been named the 2022-2023 Support Employee of the Year for Union Public Schools. She was named the winner by a committee of other support employees.

Carreno was recognized early this afternoon at the Performing Arts Center, following a luncheon at the High School for all support employees across the Union district. Monthly winners were also recognized during the program; each received a basket of goodies. See sponsors below.

“Conchita Carreno is dependable, trustworthy and compassionate,” emcee Kurt Frentzel told the crowd. “She goes above and beyond and makes every employee who she meets feel special and cared for. Let’s hear it for Conchita!’

As a bilingual Human Resources specialist, Carreno helps the Benefits team in Human Resources communicate with Spanish-speaking employees and new employee orientations, benefit enrollment and FMLA administration.

Furthermore, Frentzel said, “Carreno has a positive attitude that’s infectious to those around her.”
