Seniors Kayden Kehe and Dorothy Huynh have been named Mr. and Miss Union for Union High School, 6636 S. Mingo Road. Being named Mr. and Miss Union is considered the highest honor a student may receive at the school.
Kayden is the son of Barton Kehe and Emily Goss, and Dorothy is the daughter of Dominick and Thao Huynh, all of Broken Arrow. They were recognized during a formal coronation ceremony Friday, March 24, at the Union Performing Arts Center in a ceremony, which was also live-streamed over Youtube. Members of the court were introduced by their friends as family watched from the audience.

One of the highest honors a senior may receive comes each spring when Mr. and Miss Union are selected. This honor is bestowed on a boy and girl who have excelled in academics, community service and other aspects of student life. Selection is determined through a combination of student vote and teacher selection.
During the ceremony, friends introduced the candidates, and each candidate was asked a question that they answered in front of their students.
This year, Mr. Union candidates included: Caleb Barrows, Daniel Flores, Ethan Jackson, Quinn Johnson, Kayden Kehe, Emerson Leavitt, Ryan Pitchford, Blake Posey, Mark Solla, and Grayson Tempest.
Miss Union candidates included: Karleny Alfonzo, Claire Baggett, Hadley Brown , Aleena Chaudhary, Taryn Cox, Wendy Cruz, Kaitlyn Dennis, Dorothy Huynh, Makayla Goode, and Celestine Kim.
After the ceremony, the court enjoyed a limo ride to the Education Service Center where Child Nutrition and High School administration had prepared a feast for them in the Board room. Students were also excused for the rest of the day.
