Instructional Services

Union Public Schools uses instructional practices that have been researched and proven to produce results in student learning. It is the mission of Instructional Services to support teachers in utilizing curriculum and instructional practices that will challenge and support all learners in an engaging atmosphere in order to maximize student achievement. 

Instructional Services oversees professional learning, district teacher training, College & Career CenterUnion Career ConnectEarly College High School, Leadership Union, Teacher of Year selection, Career Tech/Carl Perkins programs and the Union Leadership Retreat for administrators. The Career Pathways Coach in College & Career Center is funded by a Carl Perkins grant.

Native American Heritage Month

Native American Heritage Month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people. Heritage Month is also an opportune time to educate the general public about tribes, to raise a general awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges.
