  • THANK YOU! Bond issue passes; voters 'Believe in U'

    02.14.18

YAY, WE DID IT!! Thanks to our wonderful community, Union successfully passed its first 5-year bond! This from Superintendent Kirt Hartzler:

“I am extremely grateful to belong to a community that understands the importance of investing in our students and teachers. Voters overwhelmingly supported our district’s five-year series bond, the first in Union’s history. Passage of the two measures will allow us to complete the construction of Ellen Ochoa Elementary and fund a new Fine Arts, Athletic and classroom renovation at Union High School. We’re excited about the introduction of our one-to-one initiative for our students and improved safety on our buses. Our theme was ‘Believing in U,’ and clearly, our families believe in Union’s mission of ‘100% Graduation, College and Career Ready.’ Thank you!”

    02.12.18

Message from the Union Bands Director: As a director, teacher, parent, resident, and 13-year student of the Union Public Schools, I know firsthand and with wide perspective the importance of bond issue elections for the district. This year’s bond issue is particularly significant because it encompasses 5 years and a grand vision for expansion and continued excellence. For decades, Union patrons have embraced “The Union Way” by supporting the passage of bond issues with overwhelming support, and I know that 2018 will be no different. continue reading
