Union to host 3rd annual STEM Expo May 10
Union Public Schools will host the 3rd Annual STEM Expo to feature the great work going on in kindergarten through 12th grade classrooms across the district. The event has been reschedule and will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10, in the UMAC. continue reading

Message to EDP parents
As you may be aware, classes will resume at Union Public Schools on Monday, April 16. Please be aware of the following deadlines regarding EDP payments. April tuition payment is due on TUESDAY, April 17, in order to avoid having your child suspended from the program on April 18. For parents that utilize DHS assistance, no suspensions for unpaid April’s co-pay will occur until WEDNESDAY, April 19 to allow for the extra time needed to obtain documents or convert contract numbers back to the student’s regular school year site. May’s payment deadline has also been extended: MONDAY, April 23 by 7 AM is now the payment deadline for all parent pay accounts. continue reading
Update from Superintendent Dr. Hartzler
Superintendent Dr. Kirt Hartzler just announced details about how Union will make up missed time due to the teacher walkout. Beginning Monday, April 16, Union will be adding 25 minutes to the school day, with June 1 being the last day of the school year. Late-start Fridays have been cancelled for the remainder of the year, with school start times being the same Monday through Friday. Union's EDP will open at 7 a.m. and close at 6 p.m., as normal. Oklahoma’s largest teachers union called for an end to the nine-day teacher walkout Thursday as its efforts to negotiate more education funding out of the Oklahoma Legislature reached an impasse. School will be closed Friday, April 13 due to the teacher walkout in support of public education. HOWEVER, SCHOOL WILL REOPEN FOR STUDENTS BEGINNING MONDAY, APRIL 16.
