Union announces 2014-2015 District Site Teachers of the Year
Union Public Schools has announced its 2014-2015 School Site Teachers of the Year. The District Teacher of the Year will be announced during a formal reception at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at the Union Performing Arts Center at Union High School, 6636 S. Mingo Road.
Being named Teacher of the Year is one of the highest honors a teacher can receive at Union. All of the school site Teachers of the Year will be honored during the reception; teachers were selected by their peers.
The Site Teachers of the Year are:
Andersen Elementary – Faith Hamilton, first grade
Boevers Elementary – Diana Bland-Bayona, kindergarten
Briarglen Elementary – Melissa Saffell, first grade
Cedar Ridge Elementary –Beth Turner, fifth grade
Clark Elementary – Charity Covey, reading specialist
Darnaby Elementary – Kristen Robinson, third grade
Grove Elementary – Sarah Rhodes, fourth grade
Jarman Elementary – Geri Stites, music
Jefferson Elementary – Mandy Lewis, first grade
