The Oklahoma State Department of Education has developed a hybrid of the proposed testing window options after thorough review of data collected from the testing calendar survey, assessment advisory committee discussions and the unique reporting considerations for this school year.  The revised testing calendar consists of a 20-day window, April 3-28. Recent legislative changes to reduce the number of tests and time spent administering the Oklahoma School Testing Program (OSTP) have effectively reduced the number of state tests by eight and the number of days districts could spend administering state tests by 66 days, not including the summer testing window. We appreciate the thoughtful input received by so many of you. We hope the additional days not focused on administering the OSTP will allow teachers and administrators more time to provide students with rich and meaningful instruction.  Download the 2016-17 OK State Testing Calendar. If you have questions, please contact the OSDE Office of Assessments at (405) 521-3341. Sincerely, Joy Hofmeister State Wide
