Athletics Department

Students must turn in a completed physical form dated after May 1, 2012, to the coach at the time of tryouts for the 2012-2013 school year. There will be no exceptions. Schedules will be posted when applicable.

 Do not turn physicals into the Athletics Department.  Athletes are responsible for furnishing copies of physicals directly to the coach.  The Athletic Department will not keep copies of physicals on file and is not responsible for furnishing copies of physicals to the coaches.

Physicals  performed by an M.D. or D.O. are recommended.

 

 

Physicals

Physicals are mandatory. In order to tryout or participate in any athletic activity for any school year, the athlete must turn a current physical into the coach at the time of tryouts. Please do not give the original of this physical to the coach; turn in a copy. Only physicals dated after May 1 of the preceding year will be accepted for tryouts and will be valid through the end of the following school year.

Tryout Dates

  • Boys Basketball tryouts will be held on the following dates. 
    All participants must provide a copy of a current physical.
    8th grade at 7th Center 4-5:30 p.m. on May 8/9
    9th grade at 8th Center 4-5:30 p.m. on May 13/14
    High School at HS gym 5-6:30 p.m. on May 16/17


  • UNION BASEBALL TRYOUTS for Incoming FRESHMAN and New Students 2013-2014
    May 16th –18th (Thursday and Saturday)
    Thursday -- 5 – 8 p.m.
    Saturday (Special Invite) -- 10 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

    Where: Union Varsity Field; located behind the Intermediate High School
                  7616 S. Garnett
                 Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012

    MUST have: Physical dated after May 1st, 2013 and Updated Grade Report
    Need to Bring: Baseball attire; Baseball Cleats, Baseball pants, Baseball shirt, 
    Baseball hat, glove, catchers gear (if you are a catcher), baseball bat, and sunscreen.
    Each Player:  Evaluated at Individual Position Skills: fielding, throwing, arm strength, running, and hitting. Saturday will be an invite scrimmage and these players will be assigned to a team and evaluated at scrimmage performance.

     

  • Girls Soccer Tryouts
    May 14 – 16
    4 – 5:30 pm
    Current 8th – 11th graders

    All girls must wear shin guards and be properly equipped.
    If there is a conflict with club practice/game, let me know and we will work it out.
    All girls trying out must have a sports physical. All-Sports Physical Night is Monday, May 6th at the UMAC from 6:00pm - 8:45 p.m. Cost is $25.

  • Softball Tryouts
    High School Softball Tryouts: Monday – May 13 & Tuesday May 14 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
    8th Grade Softball Tryouts: Tuesday – May 7 & 8 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
    Where: Softball Field and Indoor behind the 9th Grade Center
    Need: Glove, tennis shoes, cleats, bat, and a grade check from your teachers. 
    All participants will need a Physical Dated after May 1, 2011.  (Get your physical Monday May 6 at the UMAC from 6 – 9 p.m.)

    Must have a copy of a physical dated after May 1, 2013, will not be able to tryout without it

    Girls Varsity Basketball Tryouts have been moved to Monday, May 20, 4:00pm – 5:30pm in the 7th Grade Gym.

    Current 8th Graders                         May 8 & 9, 4:00pm – 5:30pm in the 8th Grade Gym
    Current 9th – 11th Graders             May 16 & 17, 5:00pm – 6:30pm in the 7th Grade Gym
    Must have a copy of a physical dated after May 1, 2013 to participate in tryouts.

     

  • Volleyball Tryouts - All volleyball tryouts will be held at the 9th Grade Center.
