Engage the learner… encourage the teacher

Union Public Schools is committed to creating Professional Learning Communities in order to engage our instructors and paraprofessionals in a learning process which is embedded in their daily routines.  As we look at student achievement through out the school year our district’s objective exists to strengthen instructional skills in the following areas:

  • Best instructional practice
  • Literacy / learning strategies
  • Technology
  • Classroom management skills
  • Mentoring practices
  • Instructional Leadership

The Union Professional Development Center strives to provide opportunities for its educators to enhance their instructional skills and content knowledge producing outstanding results for students.  We are committed to frequently assess each professional development opportunity, eliciting feedback from our instructional staff in order to better serve our teachers.
