Todd Hamilton became a household name throughout the world in July of 2004 when he stunned Ernie Els in a playoff to win the British Open Golf Championship.
But it was at three area courses where Hamilton did most of his golfing when he was younger. Hamilton, who went on to win a pair of state championships at Union High School, then was an All-American at the University of Oklahoma before embarking on a professional career, also played many rounds at Gibson Woods Golf Course in Monmouth, Ill.
