Highlights: Edmond North is the prohibitive favorite to win the team title, but Jenks and Union are at least pushing the defending champion. Trojans singles players Chase Gordon and Grant Bond both advanced into the semifinals Saturday. Jonny Miller and John Tonielli, a pair of sophomores playing No. 2 doubles for Jenks, also moved into the semis. While Union No. 1 singles entrant Josh Coleman lost a tough three-set quarterfinal, the Redskins saw Brad Gleason stay in the hunt in No. 2 singles by winning a pair of 6-0, 6-1 matches. Union's No. 1 doubles duo of Andreas Kutt and Max Foster cruised to a first-round victory without dropping a game, but then ran into more trouble in the quarterfinals. Kareem Aly and McCann Bell of Edmond Memorial took Kutt and Foster to a third set before the Redskins prevailed 6-0, 5-7, 6-2. Union's Mitchell Mathias and Jordan Hoyt, the favorites in No. 2 doubles, won a three-set quarterfinal over Westmoore's Joshua Noel and Travis Tran 6-1, 6-7, 6-3.
