Holding/exploring chicks, all got to hold them last week. We worked on our Chick Observation journals.
Planting flowers at the front of our school in the pots. Each student planted 1 flower, we put our “natural aerators” in the pots as well (earthworms) and we watered them.
We had students find more seeds, ladybugs (a ladybug larvae even!!), aphids for them to eat, neat leaves/sticks/weeds/plants as well as enjoying nature today outside of our school all while LEARNING!
During spelling/word work this week we have been doing “Soil Spelling”. Where your child writes his/her spelling words in “dirt.” Thanks Miss Moyer for that cool idea!
