Boevers welcomes students, parents

The following is an automated phone message sent to families at Boevers Elementary School Thursday.
This is Alycia Pennington, new principal at Boevers Elementary. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and getting to know your students this year. I wanted to let you know about a few upcoming dates. On Tuesday, August 16, our staff will be doing a neighborhood walk about. We will be walking through the area starting around 6:30 p.m. We hope you are home, so we can deliver something to your student.
Meet the Teacher will be Thursday, August 18 from 4-6, here at Boevers. Class lists will be posted at Meet the Teacher. School supplies will be provided again this year. Your child will only need to bring a box of kleenex and a backpack.
The first day of school is Monday, August 22. Please make a note of the new hours. Your student may come in the building at 7:40 and the tardy bell will ring at 7:55 this year. School ends at 2:40 p.m. We hope that you have had a wonderful summer and we look forward to a great year!
