The seventh graders took on their teachers in a United Way basketball game Tuesday, but were overmatched.
Assistant Principal Estella Evans explained, "The teachers won the basketball game with a score of 44 to 8… No mercy was shown to the youth. Apparently, the students had been saying how they were going reeeeally beat their teachers. Now, the teachers have bragging rights. I guess this was another lesson they had to learn."
Do we hear a rematch sometime down the line?
Sixth graders held a similar game last Friday. Sixth grade teachers lost to the students in a "controversial" freethrow match.
Both matches were rewards to students who contributed to the annual United Way drive.
