Alex and Sam Etchison
From Jarman enrichment specialist Jill Fiits
Last year at the, end of the year, I taught the kids about geocaching, a scavenger hunt of sorts done all over the world. We took a walking Geocache trip in our neighborhood and the kids go to find it themselves. You use a GPS and you can go online and find them everywhere. After our Philbrook museum trip they went back the next day with their family and did the exhibit again and also went Geocaching. They found it and this is a picture of their find. They used the clues hidden at the museum to locate the cache and they took a “Travel Bug” and left a marble. They signed the log book to show they were there. This is an activity that the ARC students at Jarman participate in during the school year.
This activity is done by thousands of people all over the world.
