On October 24, the entire cheer program - two 8th grade squads, Freshman, JV, and Varsity - all competed in the UCA Regional Qualifiers Competition in Norman. Each squad won their division and Varsity received a bid to the UCA Nationals Competition in Orlando, Fla., in February.
On October 21, Alyssa Papen, Mackenzie Barnes, and Becca Slaughter (all seniors) tried out and were all named an OCA All-Region cheerleader! These girls will now advance to the OCA State try-out in Newcastle, OK on November 11.
And in case you missed this news, on September 19, we competed in the OSSAA Regionals Competition at Broken Arrow High School. We got second place out of our Region and then advanced to the OSSAA State Competition, which was on October 3 in Skiatook. We placed 3rd in the state out of all 6A teams that competed in our division.
