Story and photos by: Cherry Redus, NBCT, Enrichment Specialist

Kindergartners and their Dad’s were treated to doughnuts and juice so they could come to Cedar Ridge and find out what their children do during the day. Many times Fathers are not seen as much at school as the Moms because it is more difficult to take time from their jobs. There was a great turn out; however, at Cedar Ridge when so many Dad’s did just that---take time from their job to learn what their child does in Kindergarten. One Father was in China, and “missed out” as Mom said to him in her e-mail. But at least, she was able to come up and make sure her daughter had a parent who take the tour and read with her.
Students took Dads on a tour of the media center, read books with them, and took a tour outside on the playground.
