Isaac Moyer and Jeff Davison holding their Army dolls
Andersen students honored veterans by learning about their history. Many classes at Andersen Elementary School, 1200 S. Willow, were involved in Veterans Day activities last week. The entire second grade traced and cut out their handprint. Then, all the handprints were assembled to make the wings of an eagle which was displayed in the hallway. Mrs. Judy Cairl’s second graders created Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine dolls, making the uniforms the actual color and design. Next, students chose three things they learned about veterans, writing about it in their journals.
"Andersen is proud of our Veterans!" reported enrichment specialist Linda Snowbarger.
