Tournament of Champions set Dec. 27-29

THIS YEAR'S Oklahoma's Tournament of Champions field was announced on Wednesday.
The 48th annual high school basketball showcase is scheduled December 27-29 at Oral Roberts University's Mabee Center.
Verdigris will participate in the boys and girls tournaments, just as Vinita did last year.
The boys bracket also includes defending Class 6A state champion Union, which won last year's TofC. Booker T. Washington, which won the 5A state title in 2010 and 2011, also is in the field along with Edison, a 6A semifinalist from last year. Other boys teams are Roland, Dale, Weleetka and Arnett. Weleetka was an overtime loser to champion Cheyenne-Reydon in the Class A semifinals and Arnett lost to 2011 TofC third-place team Forgan in the Class B title game last season.
