Dreams of becoming an Olympic athlete generally start early.
For Eastman Holloway, they started when he was about 10 years old. It was at that time he decided to take up swimming as a sport.
"I want to do the best I can, and I want to try to go to the Olympics," he told his parents.
In late June, the Union graduate and his SwimTulsa coach David Lynn headed to Nebraska for the Olympic trials.
"I didn't have the best race of my life, but it was the best race of my life," Holloway said. "I got to swim in a pool that champions were coming out of."
Holloway, 19, will be a freshman this year at Southern Methodist University, which he chose for its swim program. He hopes that come time for the 2016 Olympics, he'll have another shot.
