LONDON - One native Tulsan is among the torchbearers who carried the Olympic flame across part of England Saturday.
"It was euphoric," said Jerri Peterson, a graduate of Union High School and Tulsa Junior College.
Peterson now makes her home near Atlanta, Ga., but she grew up in Tulsa.
Peterson joined 2NEWS Anchor Erin Christy by telephone on Saturday to talk about what she calls a once-in-a-lifetime honor. Check out the interview above.
On Saturday, Peterson carried the torch for about 440 yards in Derby, England.
Peterson said she saw the Olympic torch relay in Atlanta in 1996.
"Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined I would have that opportunity," she said.
