High Honors at Roy Clark Elementary
Originally posted May 15, 2019
Congratulations to the second graders in Michelle Pranger’ class, who met their goal to read a certain number of AR books (Accelerated Reader) for not just one, not two, but all four quarters this past school year.
During the year-end assembly, the students were recognized for this achievement. Pranger said the students worked hard to reach their goal each quarter, encouraging each other to read at least 30 minutes every day. The students received medals today and will get a party too. Former Clark Principal Theresa Kiger, now executive director of secondary schools for all of Union Public Schools, even returned to help honor the students.
Clark hosted two assemblies today, recognizing students for good character, reading skills, art achievements, YouthArts! participation, math and even perfect attendance. Principal Alicia Ewing, Assistant Principal Kristine Brawley and teachers helped pass out awards and hugs.
