November Seniors of the Month named

Union High School, 6636 S. Mingo, has named Delani Philpot and Elijah Tomlin its November Seniors of the Month. Delani is the daughter of Jarrett and Katrina Philpot of Bixby. Tomlin is the son of Elwood and Nicole Tomlin, Broken Arrow.

Delani is active in basketball, Fields of Faith, Student Council, Union’s all-school musicals, yearbook and a strong supporter of Union football. She participates in event planning with retired Air Force members at the Department of Defense’s air base, is a member of the First Baptist Church where she is active in dodgeball. She also participates in Lady Hawks basketball and works at Wild Heart Ranch Wildlife, Rescue and Rehabilitation. She was named to National Honor Society and the 2018 Homecoming Court. She hopes to attend a university in the state of Oklahoma and eventually attend Oklahoma State University veterinary school.

Tomlin is active in football, wrestling, track, Business Professionals of America and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He volunteers at John 3:16 mission. He was named to Academic All-Conference Wrestling and Academic All-Conference Football, a member of the Athletics Leadership Council and recognized as a top-10 linebacker by “Vype” Magazine. Tomlin has not yet selected his college of choice but hopes to play either football or wrestling. He wants to study accounting and business.
