Summer is just around the corner. Can you believe that??!!

This summer, Darnaby Elementary School will continue its summer reading program that we did such a fantastic job creating last year.

Just as a reminder we want every child at Darnaby to read at least 20 books this summer and to keep track of those books on their Summer Reading Log.

Any student that reads 20 books can return their Summer Reading Log at Meet the Teacher or any time during the start of the school year to be eligible to receive a prize.

Students can also turn in one Summer Reading Log for every 20 books they read, increasing their chances of winning.

We will be awarding a $25 Barnes & Noble gift cards to one student from each grade level. Students must return their Summer Reading Log to be eligible for a prize.

We have ordered enough folders so that every child PK – 5 can receive a summer reading folder.

Also, we will continue our lending library partnership with our neighborhood apartment complexes.

Below is a reminder of who has each apartment complex.
