UNION'S 34-20 victory over Jenks in last year's Class 6A state title game reversed a trend in their football rivalry. Before that game, the loser of their regular-season Backyard Bowl game had won four of the previous five state titles. The essay contest encourages students to develop reading and researching skills while learning about important energy-related topics. Union Public Schools tops all other schools.
