Penny Wars underway at Jarman
September 27, 2011
To put a college twist on the Penny Wars campaign for United Way, Jarman students are doing a “Fill the College Bucket Campaign…” this week. Buckets are in the lobby designated for OU, OSU, TU and Arkansas. Students are encouraged to bring coins to fill their favorite college bucket. “I suppose if LSU or Texas were to be requested, we could label a bucket, but for now we will focus on the Big Four.” Dollar bills will be subtracted by the amount in the bucket with a winner being named on Friday. .... more details inside... more

High School Seniors and parents are invited to Senior Information Night. Please join us at the High School on Tuesday, October 4 from 6-7 p.m. in room 1610, the Drama Room. Counselors will provide information about important dates and opportunities for the Class of 2012. We will discuss colleges, deadlines, and other helpful resources as you plan for post-graduation. School hours reminder at Rosa Parks

The following is an automated phone message sent to parents at Rosa Parks Elementary School over the weekend.
This is an important message from Principal Karen Vance at Rosa Parks Elementary. This is a reminder about school hours. School begins at 7:55, Monday through Thursday. Students who arrive after 7:55 will be counted tardy. Students may come in the building beginning at 7:40. Please make sure your child arrives on time, so he can begin the day on time, eat breakfast, and participate in morning activities. To make things easier and safer, we now have two drop off areas in the morning. One is in front of the building and one is in the bus loop after 7:40. Please do not drop off in the parking lot.
On Friday, school begins at 8:20, and students may come in beginning at 8:00.
Please partner with us in getting your student to school on time and making sure children are dropped off safely. Thank you!
