Briarglen teachers race for United Way
October 3, 2011
Briarglen Elementary Schools went to the races recently. All for a good cause! The school uses the teacher races as an annual fundraiser for United Way. Fourh grade teacher Kristyne Sally won the teacher races, with Justin Vannest taking second place. Kristyne Salley, as winner, then challenged Principal Tamra Bird. Kristyne Salley took home the Gold Cup.

Union earns 94th consecutive district win

Head coach Kirk Fridrich wondered how his No. 1 Union High football team would fare in its first true road game Friday night. The Redskins seemed right at home against District 6A-4 rival Sand Springs. Junior quarterback Hunter Atyia raced 46 yards on the game's fourth play, and the three-time Class 6A champions led from start to finish, rolling to a 44-20 win to remain unbeaten in five games this season.... more
