Students at the 8th Grade Center dressed like the Founding Fathers for the school's annual reenactment of the first Constitutional Convention on November 15. The lesson combines government and history and students proray different people as they read documents from that momentous occassion.
Parents showed strong support for a new program designed to help more than 200 Union sixth graders during a parent forum on November 8 and learned more about a program in which their children had been selected to be part of a new program aimed at helping them reach their academic and life potential.
Andersen students honored veterans in a big way! More than 300 people attended an assembly honoring Veterans. More than 50 veterans attended and were introduced individually with each one receiving a framed commendation from the Governor’s office. Patriotic music was provided by Andersen 5th graders and led by music teacher, Mrs. Julie Shadle. Lt. Col. Ed Crews was guest speaker. Photos inside!
