Garcia named State Basketball Coach of Year

Varsity boys basketball coach Rudy Garcia was named Oklahoma Coaches Association Basketball Coach of the Year for 2012. He was recognized at the recent all-state basketball game on Thursday, July 26.
Garcia coached the Union boys team to a Class 6A state cahmpionship.
"It is definitely a great honor for a coach to be selected by the Oklahoma Coaches Association as the Coach of the Year in their respective sport,' said Emily Stone, director of Athletics. " He was nominated as being selected the OCA Region 7 Boys Basketball Coach of the Year and went on to win it for the whole state."
