Staff and students last week paid tribute to Andersen Principal Larry Williams, who is retiring after years of service. A special assembly was planned with a video/photo tribute as well as songs.
Mr. Larry Williams – King for a Day! What do you get when you mix poems, songs, posters, videos, and gifts? A colossal surprise retirement assembly by Andersen students for principal Mr. Larry Williams! Williams was crowned “King” for the day and walked down the red carpet to sit at his throne while he watched the proceedings. Andersen P.T.A. President, Pam Riddle presented Williams with gifts that the students said describe Williams such as: tape measure (tall), piggy bank (trustworthy), So Big Elmo book (big) chocolate bars (finest), and a garden owl (wise) plus many others.
Williams was also given a card that plays the song Unforgettable because he truly is…..unforgettable.
